instal the new for apple Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Plus 4.0.4 SP9

I am going to install it today hopefully and will let you know if it works or not. They gave me a store credit and I found on their shelves ADS Video Express which is supposed to do the same thing and it was $20 cheaper. I just returned mine to Walmart and had to explain the problems I had and my frustration as well. I hope this helps all who are having problems Insterted DVD-R and everything thing is OK. Changed to DVD-RW which it recognised but still no 'Next'. When I installed the program the 'Next' button was greyed out, it also wouldn't recognise DVD+RW. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I could sure use some help!!!!!! Just like the other user I too paid good money for this application and don't know where to go from here. I am running Windows XP stage 3 and am now at a total loss. Roxio Tech Supp suggested I run DXDIAG which I did and all my computer parts are working properly, I have also checked the minimum requirements and my machine has met all and exceeded. I am not a geek when it comes to computers and I question whether the Video Capture USB is working properly.

I have checked all my connections and tested my VCR and all are in working order. I have reloaded my software 7 times and did the updates as well. The 'Next' button does not work, nor does the 'capture' option.

I have experienced the very same problem with my product as well. You never really explained exactly what problems you were having except for posting 'me too' The software is not defective, I have transferred over 50 hours of analog video from my 12 year old VHS camcorder with only the occasional problem which is due to the poor 'signal quality' from the tapes. Once my tapes are transferred, I will no longer be using this old Handycam but will purchase a new one which burns directly to DVd.

My Handycam is old (as you might guess) so all I want to do is find an INEXPENSIVE piece of software which will allow me to transfer all my memories to DVD. If anyone knows of software that will allow me to transfer Hi8 tapes from my Handycam to my computer, edit it, and then burn it to a DVD I would greatly appreciate a recommendation. I shop there often and cannot be more pleased with the professionalism they exhibited when I returned the software.

After much discussion, Best Buy did the right thing. I just returned the software to Best Buy, explained the defective software situation and suggested they notify Roxio of the problem many of us are having.
